LS1 O2 sensor

I have read over the current issue of Car Craft and read that the LS1 oxygen sensor reads for a 12 or 13.0:1 at WOT. Is this true. I was under the though that o2 sensors are narrow band (1,2,3,or 4 wire) on the LS1s and are not cappable of reading acuratly at WOT. Is this true? Or does the ecm look for a reading of around .75-.8 volts from the O2 sensor at WOT?

It's a narrow band, and only switches at 14.7 from rich to lean. On the newer cars they use more of the Stoic compensation to more accurately determine *guesstimates* at what should be some other AFR. Most all of the older ecms used some of the closed loop data for that correction, but the newer ones rely more heavily on the close loop correction. The LS1 being OBDII has alot more processing power, so it can use more input data in a more sophisticated way.
So I've been told.
