Weird EFI combo
I am looking to use the "165" to control an Edelbrock MPFI intake for converting TBI engines. I have the mass air sensor from a TPI engine along with the ECM from a 350 TPI. The intake, injectors, fuel rail, and modified TBI also fell my way. How close do you'll think the stock TPI programing will run the edelbrock setup?
I am also looking into changing the MAF sensor to a late model GM style sensor. Anybody know the tables that need to be programmed into the ECM for the newer mass air flow sensors?

I haven't done that yet but I bet it'll start and idle fine so long as you've got the basics all figured out. Not sure if you know but I helped a friend out with the same "kit" only I pushed him to use a 730 and SD (zz4 has great idle vacuum). Thing started right up with very little tuning needed. The MAF will be even easier (should be) or you could go with the SD code used with the Aussie 165 applications.
The Edelbrock kit uses pico small injectors that work just like normal injectors. With the small plenum volume and relatively short intake runners you'll want to take a look at the LT1 SD maps to get an idea if you do try SD. For MAF it might be fine.
Sorry, don't know about the late model MAF's.
