newbie chip question

ok, i am VERRY NEW to this whole idea. i read through most of the FAQ in the DIT PROM board and have come to find that buying all the equipment to burn my own chips would be expensive.

my idea:
i want to make it so that my ecm no longer uses the air system. i know that the ecm compansates for injected air by tricking the o2 sensor at times. i want to remove that code from the chip.

my question:
does anyone sell chips where this is allready done that i can buy? or does anyone make custom chips in general?

thanks.

there are some posts of members that have had chips burned for them for a fee. unfortunately they post car is not running as they expected or would like. some have had success most i believe have not. i would suggest on "Corvette Forum" are a few names that are thrown about doing that work. issue with a distant chipburner is that they need datalogs to read/interpret to improve over successive burns. these forums on TGO are pretty much DIY.

thankyou. i actualy planned from the begining to go that rout (diy). but my dad would not stop insisting that i at least ask about this before spending $250-$500 on chip burning stuff.
