ecm wire straight to battery

Transmission: '89 700-R4
Axle/Gears: 3.23
ecm wire straight to battery

my ecm wire doesnt have a connector on its end anymore and the battery cable i have right now doesnt have the connector for it either. would the ecm work if i put the orange ecm wire directly to the battery ?

Should put an inline fuse between the battery and wire. A 10A should work out.

did what you said and it worked. I only had a 20 amp fuse though. I know that shouldn't be a problem though. What a relief! I've had my car for close to 4 years now and the computer was never hooked up. the mcs on the carb finally clicks. I'll see how everything turns out later on today. Thanks!
