How does the turbo trans am ecm accommodate boost?
How does the turbo trans am ecm accommodate boost? Doesn't the TTA use the same ecm as other 89 trans am's. If it is that means the boost control is all in the programming, doesn't. Just wondering if this would be a better route for forced induction programming guidance as opposed to switching to a typhoon/syclone ecm.

89 TTA has the same ecm as the GN/T-types, with some changes in the chip.
The ECM doesn't accommodate for boost in any way.
TTA has a 3 bar MAP sensor, but it's just an input for the boost guage.

Could easily use it on a 6 cylinder, as that is what the ECM is designed for. On a 6 it can be run in sequential or batch fire mode.

So what would prevent you from programing a standard MAF
ECM, 1227165 for example, for a boosted application instead of changing the ECM. Is is the the MAF responses to slowly or that a stock MAF doesn't support higher than atmospheric preesure readings.
