Gen 7 surging idle

installed Gen 7 and runs but idle surges badly. Have tried idle
speed adjustments but nothing seems to help. happens more
in hot weather-any suggestions?

Check your VE, Spark, and A:F tables in their idle regions to be sure they are relatively "smooth". No major changes from cell to cell that could cause the engine to oscillate if it were to hover between cells of differing values. If it happens more at hot temps, look harder at your VE table, and your warmup enrichment -- VE Corretion vs. ECT value.

I'm still very new to tuning the Gen VII, but I found my idle much more stable at 14.7 A/F ratio compared to a leaner idle. The leaner than this I went, the worse the idle got. Mine would surge the worst after rapid deceleration back to an idle.
