OK, I'm comparing the ECM connector diagrams between the 8746 and 7747 to change the harness wire locations. Everything appears the same, except for the A.I.R. converter solenoid (C1), MAT sensor (C12), and the fact that the car ECM uses 4 locations for the injectors (C15, D14, 15, and 16), and the truck only uses 2 (D14 and 16). So, what do I do about the A.I.R. and MAT locations ? Does the truck not have these pieces, and if thats the case, will it affect how my wagon acts? And regarding the injector pinouts, why does the car have 4 locations working 2 injectors? Do I leave these alone? I understand there are limitations as to how the car will run without going all out with the 7730, gathering data and burning custom chips, but since I already have a 7747, I figure I should try it and see if it can run in an acceptable manner.

What will make the scan tool throw the bad ECM/PROM code? Other than a bad ECM/PROM, of course. From what my LIMITED knowledge tells me, I don't see anything that would put it into LIMP mode.

Thanks guys!

Darryl
