I am trying to get a record of my ecm data on my car to figure out if my current problems are sensor/ecm related.

I got laptop
9pin adapter cable
turner pro rt installed on laptop
correct ads stream file
I can connect to my ecm

However, when I hit record to start recording date, I get "creating error log file".

What am I doing wrong? this is my first time ever doing this. Do I need to open specific windows on what to record? If I do, what windows?

Also, where is this error file stored, so I can let whoever know what I am doing wrong. I cant find it.
