make sure you have the old school distributor not needing vacuum advance
then if you have a lockup tranny, you'll need to wire in a switch for the lockup

pull the bulb on the check engine light

and you're good to go. Then as long as the car runs, find any wires that are dangling, and cut them. that's what i'm doing now

I'm not sure what year they had lockup torque convertors. You have the 3spd th-350?

Try searching in the trans forum.

'83 is the first year for the 700R4 in the Camaro. It was the only optional auto for the Z28.Your car should have a lock-up torque convertor if it still has the 700R4 in her.The 200C was still availible but only in the Sport Coupe, and maybe the Berlinetta. The TH350 wasn't offered in the 3rd Gens.
And like Sonix stated you'll have to run a non computor controlled carb and distributor with a vacuum advance, unless she's just a strip car.Maybe instead of cutting the harness neatly tie-wrap and bundle the harness out of the way. This way if you ever decide to sell or change her back it won't be as much of a pain.
