ECM Housing as ground?

Howdy!

I'm doing a custom TPI install into my pickup, and I'm wondering if it'll be a problem if I use my ECM housing as a ground distribution block.

Its a 7730 ECM, with the 4 screws running along the bottom, so my plan was to hook the four ground wires from the ECM directly to it's housing, then run a big ground wire from one of the retaining screws on the side to my my cab's primary ground block.

Any reason why this would be a problem? Figured it'd make for a cleaner install, and 4 less wires to deal with (my ground distribution block is full less one wire left.)

All ECM grounds are to the engine. None including the case are grounded elsewhere.

Hmm... Interesting!

I've basically built my harness myself, and as such, had no idea how the grounds hooked up originally...

Might have to look into getting myself a peice of wiring harness that has some good grounds on it
