ECM PCB coating?

I need to modify an ECM board and I cannot find anything that will remove that thick conformal coating. I have tried denatured alchohol, laquer thinner and acetone (nail polish remover, no, not mine, the wifes) and nothing works. Anyone have any success removing this to be able to cleanly solder on the board? Help!

The whole point is to remove the coating BEFORE taking the soldering iron to the PCB. Solder joints are easily contaminated. Anyone who has fought a "cold" solder joint knows that a clean solder joint is a reliable one.

I use brake cleaner. The stuff in the red can is more aggessive then the green can stuff. Tooth brush helps too.
