Quick Question: 305 ECM with '7747 PROM chip

Will a 1227747 AMUR(amur?) PROM chip for a 350 work with my 305 ECM if I just switch the proms? oh and when they say "H" or "K" about the part what does that mean?

If you mean to put a '7747 PROM into an f-body '846 ECM: no, it will not work. Flashing SES and run in limp mode. However yes, in a way it will work, but the egnine won't be running from the PROM.

If you upgraded to a LO5 350, hunt down a Caprice '8746 ECM with a 350 in it. That PROM will work.

Need to keep the PROM within the same C3 ECM's.

RBob.
