'727 converted, ses light issue.
Today I finished my 165-727 conversion. Upon firing up the car for the first time, it suprisingly fired up quite quickly. One problem, SES light stays illuminated, And secondly, I can't check it with the paperclip method, The light stays illuminated even with the pins grounded.
Questions/concerns over what is going on? I havn't driven the car yet, Need to cover a few other basics first. So, I do not know if their is drivability issues.

Ok I was able to testdrive the vehicle and it runs great, I did some research and according to the '727 ecm pins B5 and B11, Both labeled as 'ALDL data' and when cross referenced to the '730 ecm, it says to use pins A8 and A9. However, when this is crossed over to the '165 ecm I originally had, A8 references to A8 (easy enough). But A9 from the '730 does not reference to anything at all. So I placed the pin A8 from the '165 ecm into the B5 position on the '727 ecm. I am thinking of placing it into the B11 position instead and see what happens. Any other input I can try?
