Are all 727 created equal?

I have a 727 out of a 90 Lumina and I'm using the pinout from the gmecm site, which is for a Corvette. I labeled all the wires on back of ecm last nigt and noticed some things that cause me concern...

About 80% of the wire colors and gage matched up. The 20% that don't are the problem. The purple and yellow wires for a couple sensors are swapped but the one that causes the most concern is the injector wire for 1, 3, 5, 7. It looks like a 20 gage and is not the correct color. the wire for 2,4,6,8 looks like 18 guage and is also the wrong color.

I read somewhere that GM used the same color wires across models and years. e.g. the temp sensor will always be yellow and black, etc. I am willing to ignore the color difference but the gage could cause problems.

Your thoughts, experiences?? Thanks

As I look back on this question I realize how stupid it really is
