zz4 ecm/prom, is it a $400 dollar improvment over the lg4 chip for a350 swap?

zz4 ecm/prom, is it a $400 dollar improvment over the lg4 chip for a350 swap?
Wondering if it is worth $400 for the ecm/prom or should I just leave teh lg4 jet chip in it that I have now? thanks

For that price you can buy all the stuff needed to burn your own chips including a cheap laptop off of eBay! It may seem overwelming at first but its really not that hard to do.
I wouldn't spend that much. Look at the DIY Prom boards. Buying a chip is not money well spent.

But, there isn't much support for LG4 Prom tuning yet though. I've only briefly looked into it, though. Basically, you'll probably just want to adjust the ignition timing map, so not much support would be necessary. I'm pretty sure the LG4 ignition map is the lamest map ever. Not sure about the Jet. You'll also want to play with rods and hangers on the Q-Jet to get the full throttle A/F set right (maybe good enough already with your Jet Q-Jet).
But, if you're not interested in doing it yourself, $400 is a LOT for an ECU. Have you tried EBay? May have to wait around a bit for one to show up on there, but it might happen.

it is the prom and ECM, I can get the prom and ECM for about $30 from a 87 L69 monte ss? would that be better?
