Another chip question
Another chip question
I am going to jump into chip burning and have a question about my PROM. It dosn't appear to be one of the PROM's with the window in it and has a confusing amount of numbers/letters on it (at least for me). It is labeled like this.
1616
AXKS
1107
and has another set of codes below this
014B 5C24
32500
B9816AB

I am pretty sure this isn't stock because the ECM i took it out of is from NAPA. I would also like to know what kind of chips i would need for my 1989 camaro RS 305 TBI if i went into chip burning, and if a Pocket progammer would be ideal

The BCC AXKS is a Cali emissions, '89-'92 305 TBI f-body with an automatic.
To replace it the easiest method is to use a Moates G2 adaptor and some of the '512 Flash chips. May consider the Burn1. The stock chip is a 2732 which are next to impossible to find. And when found, are difficult to program.
