Want recommendations for OBD2 interface
Want recommendations for OBD2 interface
Hello! I think I'm finally ready to play around with hooking up a PC to OBD2 ECMs, and was wondering if any one interface stands out as better than the rest. I noticed that www.obd2allinone.com has thirdgen.org listed in their links page, which is a vote for them in my book. Anyone have any comment on their product? Any other one(s) I should be looking at instead?
Re: Want recommendations for OBD2 interface
I would be more concerned with the software.
None of which impressed me from that site.
The scanning hardware is standardized so price is a big consideration there.
They looked expensive when compared to DIY stuff-which is normal.
Here's a DIY setup that I've considered. But have yet to check into. http://obddiagnostics.com/index.html

I looked at that one too. I like the price, and I'm not afraid to do a little soldering. Maybe if we're lucky, somebody will tell us their experiences with that kit. At that price though, I'd be willing to take a chance on an unknown!

What ECM do you have?
None of the stock thirdgen ECM's are OBDII
