Code 34 and 42
Hey guys. I just took this whole weekend changing out my old blown engine for a newly rebuilt 350 in my 88 IROC. I drove it away today, and everything was great. No oil pressure issues, no trouble codes. When I came back out after eating supper and started her again, it took a bit of turning over before it started, which isn't typical for this car. Then I got the check engine light. It's giving me a 34 and a 42. I used to see the MAF sensor code pop up every now and again with the old engine, but I have never seen a 42. The code for 42 says something about check ECM wire in terminal 12 or HEI module is wrong. I did put on a new brass tipped cap, rotor and MSD Super Conductor wires. Everything was tight when I left. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong?
