Differences in Spark Control

I wasn't sure which forum I should post but since I'm looking into buying a FAST XFI system and it has to do with that, I'll post it in here. I am wondering if anyone can explain the differences between IPU(Inductive Pick-Up) and Hall Effect. I want to switch my car to the XFI system, right now it has Speed Density with the small cap HEI distributor/external coil. I could stay with that system, but for sequential fuel injection the ECU needs a crank and cam signal. FAST sells a Dual Sync distributor that provides both signals. Is this distributor all I would need then? Need some information.

I'm not definite with the fast but with my gen 7 dfi Yes, all i did was put in a dual sync and since it provides both signals I can run sequential mode.

The dual signal distributor is all you need ( to run sequential) but I wouild recomend a crank trigger instead if you can pull it off. Its a much more stable source and makes it easy to set up the rotor phasing. unless its a full tilt race car the sequential wont make much difference .

Re: Differences in Spark Control

I have a Miniram manifold and I have noticed that the front sparkplugs are rich compared to the back sparkplugs. Other Miniram users have seemed to notice this too. I was wondering if I had more control over which injector was firing and when(individual cylinder control), then maybe it could remedy some of that.
