DFI - Wideband jumping around like crazy at steady cruise :o
SOmetimes at certain rpms I'm driving in 3rd gear at 3500 or so trying to autocal the VE tables... the wideband jumps around In very very large amounts from -10% to +15% and back and forth. My wideband does seem to be very unstable (when i first put it in it was extremely smooth and steady). I check my timing tables and they are all at the same timing around the area of the wacky readings.
Nothing has changed except for me tinkering with many things and always going back to the baseline tune and starting again. AT one point a rocker nut came loose but I have shaft mounts and the rocker was still operating the valves just not fully. Possible damage there?
I have had one dual sync distributor crap out on me. i am using a very old dual sync since then. perhaps its ready to die on me? when i twist the rotor with the cap off theres a little play.. 2-5mm or so back and forth, is that normal ?
I checked for exhaust leaks and sealed flanges and sprayed to see bubbles.. exhaust is good.
Any ideas ? At most rpms while doing driveability tuning the a/f is pretty good near the 0 on the correction or +/- 5% . Pretty good but not nearly as smooth and steady as when I first put it in the car and dyno'd and started learning to tune.
* also when i first was WOT tuning in 4th My VE tables were 5-8% higher than what they are now. Especially at 7500 rpms where it used to still have high VE but now its plummeting.
