Well, I datalogged my car for the first time today. I failed emissions for running incredibly rich. I have new fuel injectors and the car runs much better overall. I'd like to get some experienced opinions about my data. Unfortunately, I can't transfer the file to my desktop from the laptop, but here is a summary of the data:
BLM's range evenly from 108-120 independent of RPM.
O2 Crosscounts range from 105-126 evenly over all RPMs. I tried to drive similarly to how the car would be driven on an emissions test so all shifts were in the low RPM range.
Spark advance relative to TDC varied from 10 to 40 degrees depending on engine speed.
Also an interesting note is that the EGR and EVAP duty cycles never got above .01%
Does anything here look strange or indicative of a rich condition? Is it possible to pass an emissions test with readings like this? I'm not sure how to relate the severity of the rich condition with BLM's.
By the way, the O2 sensor is new, and the TPS and IAC have been set per the tech article on this site.
From what I have read, it is clear that the ECM is compensating for a rich condition.
Thanks.
