I have a MAF 89 camaro with my own chip burned with an autoprom. I was data logging with Tuner Pro RT the other day when Tuner Pro lost communication with the 165 ECM, typical, and during my efforts to get the system to begin communicating again Tuner Pro froze and booted out. I got the Microsoft send or don't send error report. I think this is their new version of the blue screen of death. In any case I got communication going but the car ran awful, 2000 rpm idle, then 500, etc. I started a fresh new chip, with a clean bin stock bin no mods just to get a good baseline, still the same issue. Repeated this effort twice with same results. Changed ECMs and replaced chip with a stock memcal AUJM, problem solved.

Is it possible to fry an ECM with my laptop when datalogging?

 

Try using the ARAP bin with 6E$...I am using that on my 88 Iroc and it runs great....
