Accel Gen VII Advise needed!

I've got a guy willing to sell me a gen vii setup from an LT1 for 300 bucks. The problem is that it doesnt have a key with it. What is the key essentially? Where is the cheapest place to get one? Also, is there anything that i may need in addition to the LT1 setup that i must make sure is included for my tuned port? So is this a deal? Thanks for lookin out guys!

Also, Would i be better suited going with a Moates Ostrich if im trying to save some cash?

I'd go with it. You shouldn't have to do much to it to make it work on your tuned port. Everything is software selectable on the Gen 7.

You can always buy it for $300 and send it in to DFI to have it upgraded to the latest version of the firmware for another $200 or so. It'd probably be worth much more than you had invested in it at that point.
