no ignition

Hello to everyone,

I have a 91 RS camaro with a 3.1 MFI. currently I have begun electrical work as some of the wiring has been hassled by time. The main problem I have is there is no ignition, or rather no fire what so ever being supplied and therefore the engine is not turning on. The egine was running greatly and recently I have run into this problem. I've checked out components such as ignition coil, Ignition control Module and the pickup coil as well, it all checks out. So I am currently at a stantstill. Any suggestions or has anyone run into such a problem? I'd greatly apprecite any comments or fresh ideas.

sincerely,
adam

Re: no ignition

First thing is to double check waht you have been working on. Then check the fuses. Note that there is a fuse under the hood for the ECM. It is in-line with a heavy wire that runs along the passenger side (US side) inner fender.

What does the SES light & Security (VATS) light do? It there spark and fuel pressure? Injectors firing?

RBob.

Re: no ignition

The injectors are in working order, there is just no fire, that is no spark. Fuses are all go, under the hood as well. The Starter cranks the engine well, and the VATS Light does what its supposed to, that is turn on for about 5sec rthen shuts off. Most of all work on the wiring has been restoring sheilds, that is taping or cutting and reconnecting using wire crimps. Fuel pressure is there, theres just no spark...What do you think?
