Weird datalogging problem
I posted this over on moates website, but figured I'd post it here incase it happens to be an ECU issue:
I had recently bought the "ALDU1 and CABL1 XtremeALDL and NewCABL1 Combo" from moates, and I have some weird issues with it. When I try to connect with either tunerpro or a program I wrote, sometimes it takes 10-15 tries to connect. This is due to the ECU not switching over to 160 baud, which I have a feeling is the fault of my ECU, not the cable itself, so that is not much of an issue as the next one.
My main issue is where after about 5-6 minutes of datalogging the data stops coming in. I have to switch COM ports on my laptop to get it to start working again. I've tried three different laptops and they all do the same thing. Any thoughts? Is this also a problem with my ECU?
160 baud operates with no issues over the ALDL adapter, it's just 8192 that I'm having problems with.
Edit: My ECU is a '165, which I have heard have some issues with 8192

Re: Weird datalogging problem
im having the same issue with my S10. its got a 1988 '165 ECM. im using the ALDLCable.com's USB cable. i've connected only twice. it works on my 92 RS just fine, but 8192baud doesn't work like you said. some one chime in here! i've set the latency to 1, turned off my wireless, and tryed changing the COM ports. i don't know what else to try.

Re: Weird datalogging problem
it's odd, I stopped using TunerPro and it stopped doing it. No clue why. What program are you using to connect?
