i got a brand new 91-92 ecm chip given to me will it fit my 89 z? i asked because of the airbag and such.i got it from my buddy who was going to switch it in his car until a mighty oak smashed it (storm). then he junked it and it was smashed badly. the insurance only wants to give him 1500.00.it was mint.

 

If his 91-92 was TBI and your 89 has VATS, then it should work.
