fuel pump pulsator?
Does the fuel pump pulsator look like the top of an old school master cyclinder, metal and two humps on the top? I have a part the is press fit inbetween the pump and hard line in the tank and one sid of it looks like I discribed above. The reason I ask is I am having fuel pressure issues with my current walbro pump and think that I am going to replace that piece with a EFI ruber line with two hose clamps.

Re: fuel pump pulsator?
Common for them to leak. It is better with the pulsator in place. However, due to leak issues it is common to replace them with a piece of hose and clamps. Hose needs to be submerge-able type. I have the spec here, hang on. . . Here it is: SAE J30R10
And use good hose clamps. No fun having the hose split or slip off.

Re: fuel pump pulsator?
the pump i got came w/ a hose and clamps in case my car was the w/o pulsator type.
why is it better w/ it in place. it really doesnt do anything but quite the pump alittle. b4 my pump went i could not even here it come on to prime the fuel system.
has anyone removed them and had success? if i need it ill keep it, but the way it fits w/ the new pump makes me unconfortable for it to fall off or leak b/c of a bad seal.

Re: fuel pump pulsator?
I replaced it with the rubber hose that came with the walbro pump...... No problems thus far.
