need help on tpi ecm swap
I have a 88 camaro tbi manual transmission and want to swap it out with a tpi setup that came w/the ecm but it's off a automatic. would I have to replace the chip, find the tpi manual trans. ecm or can I simply just replace the chip by buying a hypertech chip for a tpi manual trans?

You can use the auto chip in a stick vehicle. It isn't ideal but usually works out OK. It is the other way, a stick chip in an auto that is bad news (TCC lockup is all wrong).

cool, what about swaping the chip out and puting a hypertech tech stage 1 chip for a tpi manual trans. will that work and how about the wiring harness that goes to the transmission
