Chips work with a carb engine?

So basically i got a Carb engine and was wondering would any chip help performance wise? or r the chips just for TBI TPI engines only? If it helps the car came with a 305 TPI but the engine was swapped for a new 350 carb

Re: Chips work with a carb engine?

yeah they wont work. the chips work with tbi or tpi because they trick the computer into putting more fuel in. with a carp there is no computer to trick so yeah, they are pretty much usless.
