Computer Question? Have you ever heard of this before?

Hey guys try and ponder this one for me...

1992 Camaro RS 305 TBI, runs great, the problem is turning it off! After driving home from school tonight I get into my driveway turn my key off and actually take my key out of the ignition and guess what, the car is still running! I have no idea how or why this is happening but the car will not turn off by turning the key and removing it out of the ignition. I tried disconecting the battery and removing the ECM fuse to reset the computer? Or is their another way to reset it? Or is this even a computer problem or ignition? I have no idea whats going on so any idea or help will be greatly apprieciated!

Thanks,

Darren

problem is in the column most likely. key tumbler assembly. not sure what the pice is called but its in that area. my brothers car had the column break inside. replace it fixed the issue. tried swapping tumbler first didn't fix it. to stop the car... hehe disconnect the battery and altenator wire plug back in after it stops. cars can run off altenators.. disconnecting the battery won't stop the car.

Yea this is mind blowing, after my car wouldnt turn off and I calmed down (haha) I just stalled it out because thankfully it is a manual so that is how I got it to stop running. I disconnected the battery and pulled the ECM fuse hoping to reset something but of course that didnt work. I am also thinking its something in the column, my key has that computer chip in it (I dont know if every camaro does or not) could that have something to do with it? I'll be pulling it apart and looking more into it but any other help is apprieciated since I really have no idea what I am getting into.

Ok so it's not the computer orthe ignition or the column, I was told it could be a electrical short in a circuit somewhere under the dash? Could this be possible, I am debating on just taking it into the shop.
