Memical Identification

Is there a part number or some way to identify a memical for a 1989 350 TPI engine with automatic transmission?

Re: Memical Identification

Yeah, if you pop off the blue cover, there will be some numbers and letters on the chips in there. The big one is the PROM, one of the smaller ones is the ResNet (resistor network), I think, and I don't really know what the other small one is... Might be something to do with the knock sensor, but I'm not sure. Anyway you can use the 4 number 4 letter series on the PROM in conjunction with either this site, or this one, to ID it. I'm not positive if both those lists are 100% complete, but they cover quite a few between the two.

Well that should set you on the right track. Good luck.

Kind of a long shot, but is there any chance that you are needing a 350 chip because you have swapped a 350 into your car that had a 305...? I ask 'cause I need an '89 305 auto MemCal, but I have a 350 one... If this is by some chance the situation, I would want to trade you my 350 Cal for your 305 one... Anyway, let me know...
