I am putting a 350 into my camaro tonight and want to use the carb that is on the engine already. The distributor on the 350 has a vacuum advance and mine of course is computer controlled. Since I just bought a new cap and rotor I was going to put those on the distributor on the 350 and just run it like that. If I pull the ECM out is there anything that I will have to change? I already delted the smog stuff and no A/C except for the heater box. \

Will everything still work?

 

Any information on this removal of ECM? Downsides and all? except for probably crappy gas mileage which isn't a factor.
