Question about tuner pro rt

I have been reading several threads about what to look at if the idle on the car is messed up; wether it be surging or idling higher than expected, etc..

But I keep reading about setting the number of "steps". Wether it be setting the steps on the IAC or on the injectors......

can someone explain to me what tuner pro means when it is referencing "steps"?

thanks

Re: Question about tuner pro rt

The idle speed control is a stepper motor. The number of "steps" is how far it's programmed to open.

Injectors don't have steps, but rather a number as to how long they are programmed to be open.
