Hello there you guy si have a 86 trans am its a 305 tpi and i am going to put a 350 tpi from a 89 iroc and i wanted to know if i should keep the stock computer or should i put the one from the iroc or should that work be done in a shop i am new to tpi so i don't know much.

The 86 TPI and 89 TPI both use the same MAF computer. However the chip inside is different. You cant use the 89 TPI chip in your 86 because the 89 has VATS. You can use the 86 TPI chip temporarily or get a custom chip made for your car.

What is VATS and were can i get a custom chip but should i put the 89 computer or leave the one on the car they are both tpi
