Car stalls at idle and has bad idle

When I set all the BLMs to 128, it idles really smooth and wont stall.
But as soon as I set it too 108, 172 it starts to idle really bad and itll stall out at stop lights and in park.

The AFR reads around 11 on my wideband, which is rich, but as soon as I take some VE off the idle area is starts to die too

On the WUD for the EBL Flash, it has 2 choices for the Zeitronix Wideband. I have it set to just Zeitronix, should I use the other one? I think its Zeitronix NB.

Re: Car stalls at idle and has bad idle

Which direction do the BLMs go once they are set to 108/172?

If they drop then the ECM is pulling fuel out, leaning the mix.

If they increase then the ECM is adding fuel, en-richening the mix.

For the Zeitronix, the normal WB output uses the entry that is just "Zeitronix." If the NB output is programed as a linear output as described in their instructions then use the entry that is "Zeitronix Lnr."

Re: Car stalls at idle and has bad idle

It reads around 140BLM at idle. And a rich AFR.
Does it just want a rich idle?

Ive got a short datalog of the idle, and of it stalling. Just take the .doc off the end and you can check it out.

Re: Car stalls at idle and has bad idle

At the point where the engine stalls the VE% is low. This causes a short inejctor PW which in turn causes the ECM to switch to async injection mode. The VE at 700 RPM and 56 KPa MAP is 17%.

I don't recall how much cam is in this engine, or what fuel pressure and injectors are being used. However, try disabling async mode injection. Set these two parameters to zero:

INJ - ASync Transition Hi
INJ - ASync Transition Lo

May also need to increase the injector bias table (INJ - Injector Correction Offset). Try disabling async mode first.

Also, with the way the ECM responded to the O2 value. With the BLMs rising to 144 then falling off, if using long tube headers will need a heated O2 sensor.

Cam is a Comp XFI 268, Stock injectors, fuel pressure is around 14psi, and ive got a heated O2 sensor.

Ill try setting the ASync to zero though, thanks for the help
