what ecm do i need?

Im totally confused my ecm has numbers 16196395 on it. It is engine code "z" tbi 4.3 from an s10. However when I search online also found the same one on ebay that states the same id number but its from a cpi vehicle. Is this right, does the same ecu work for both? is it programmed different? would this work for mine or no? I need an ecu and I cannot find one that fits my needs in any junkyard or ebay.

any help would be greatly apprecieated. Jarrod
