ECM swap
Ive posted in the electrical section but thought another post in this section would be better.Ive got an 89 Z that had an 85 TPI setup in it.The mass and mass modual have taken a crap and so I went and got an 89 TPI harness out of a Formula to make the car a little more correct.LOL, yeah.....So Ive got all the new sensors repaired the damaged and missing plugs, and reran the orange power wires to the correct side of the car(passenger).I went through that harness very thuroughly and with the new chip and harness in the car no fuel pump and very weak ground to the injectors.Pin test at the ecm says fuel pump drive and relay function correctly, so probably a break in the wires.Vats has been turned of but are the firewall bulkhead plugs the same?Meaning do I need to repin?God I hope not.

Re: ECM swap
If I read the above correctly, you put an '89 Formula TPI harness in an '89 Camaro. Although you mention bulkhead connectors. I don't think that the TPI harness has any bulk head connectors.
There is one or two under dash connectors. These should be the same between the cars.
At key-on, engine-off, does the SES light up, blink off, then light up solid?
The ECM gets battery power from a fuse that is inline a wire under the hood.
The ECM & EFI system is grounded via lugs to the back of the cylinder head(s). These are black and black/white wires that run to the ECM and to some of the sensors.

Re: ECM swap
Yes sir I did bolt those grounds up and the plug I was refering to was the connector under the master and wasnt sure if those were the same aswell.Thnx for the response btw, I did a pin test on the injectors and at first thought there was no ground but found a very faint signal.ECM burnt???....

Re: ECM swap
Not sure if the bulk head connector is the same. If the fuel pump doesn't activate for 2 seconds at key-on I would attack that first. The faint injector ground signal from the ECM could still be from VATs.
