1985 IROC ECM service #
I have a 1985 IROC Z28 that had a fuel pump failure, I had the fuel pump replaced then the ECM smoked.... I went to the salvage yard to get a new ECM and never paid attention to the service # on my old one..to make a long story short that one didn't work..so I went to Autozone to buy the correct one, and that doesn't work either, I have a different chip for the ECM, BUT that doesn't work either...I think I need to find the service # for the original ECM and start over. It has the 5.0 TPI engine... The fuel pump seems to work through all these changes. I even changed the fuesable link going to the battery. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!!

Is the "service #" the same thing as the "part number?" According to this it should be 1226870.

Re: 1985 IROC ECM service #
Thanks guys for the help with the service #, It looks like I have the right ECM, So I'm back to the fuel pump. I guess I have to to pull the gas tank and see if the guy I had replace the fuel pinched a wire or something....**** I should have just done it myself in the first place....
