All 3rd gen f-body EFI ECMs use a PROM to hold the calibration. That is all that needs to be changed to tune the engine/vehicle. Note that some are soldered to a carrier (MEMCAL), while other are in a small carrier by themselves. Pictures up top in the sticky's.
