Where is the ECM id number?

I looked on the outside casing of the ECM but it is an ACdelco reman unit and the numers are 888999194. that doesn't match anything i've researched. The car is a 5.0 with a T5. Thanks in advance.

Re: Where is the ECM id number?

The ECM ID is the Service No. that is found on the paper label on the top of the ECM.

Although when they are a re-man they can have various numbers. The "88999194" (note one less 8) is the same as the '7165 ECM used on the '86-'89 TPI MAF cars.

RBob.
