code 12 c.e light on
i have an 85 t/a 305 tpi and every once and a while my check engine light comes on and the car idles about 600 rpm high and only when the light is on. i flash the code and the code 12 keeps flashing. code 12 reads no reference pulses to ecm. could it be my ecm is bad or could it be somthing like my tps?

check the est bypass connector first, it may be loose and causing the check engine light to go on. the connector is located in the wiring that runs along the firewall above the heater box

would it change anything by mentioning somthing i forgot about, a few weeks ago my light gave me a code 44 it did it again about a week and a half later i have the oxygen sensor but have not had time to replace it could it be the same problem or the o2 sensor or the ecm?

code 12 is always there, it just means the motor is not running ( no signal from dist.) I would change O2 and check the conector at O2 also.
