looking for confirmation on esc location

hello first timer nice to meet you all. can anyone confirm if the esc is built in to the ecm in a 1991 camaro tpi or is it external as i cant locate it. i read some where that it was built in and i was getting a code 43. this car is a 305 car but has been converted to a 350 i also read when you convert that you have to replace the ecm and knock sensor which i thought could have been causing the code. i just replaced the knock and ecm with the ones for a 350 but i seem to have lost some performance and i still got my service engine light coming on anyone have any ideas? thanks for any input

Re: looking for confirmation on esc location

My esc module was in the engine bay( before I moved it,,, follow the wire from the knock sensor and it will lead you right to it. IIRC mine was next to the brake booster on the firewall.

Re: looking for confirmation on esc location

The ESC module on a '90 - '92 TPI cars is in the ECM. It is the white board on the MEMCAL. See the sticky above for a picture.
