is there a good plug and play prom for 1991 z

hello all. i was wandering if there is a good plug and play prom for a 1991 z28. it is a 305 car that has been converted to a 350. i recently changed the knock sensor and ecm/prom to the ones specified for a 350 by chev. when i did this i lost a little bit of power(any idea why this would be?). also i just converted the car from an auto to a 5 speed. i'm looking for something to boost my performance. i did notice that there was a 4 wire plug that was in the automatic tranny that i don't have plugged into any thing now as i now have a t-5 with no place for it i don't know if that would affect anything. i set the timing to 0 deg base with the tach wire unplugged. thanks for any help

The correct base timing for a TPI set up is 6* BTDC. That will get some of the power back.

The 4-wire onn the auto was for the TCC control. Lock up solenoid and 4th gear switch. Just wrap & tuck it up out of harms way.

The knock sensor torque spec is 11 to 14 ft/lb, not too tight. Any tighter and they become too sensitive. Reporting false knock which reduces the spark advance.

thanks a lot i reset the timing to 6 degrees advance and it seems to have returned my performance to where it was. i took it for a good 45 min test drive and my code 43 did not reoccur so i think i got it licked. i did get a code 32 for the egr valve which isnt to surprising as the previous owner pulled the smog pump assembly . would you happen to know how to eliminate the egr checking or how to prevent the code 32 from occuring. do i need a resister or something. also is there any negative effects performance wise to having this system removed
