Swapping from carb to FI
I am toying around with the idea of fuel injecting the car one day. Not anytime soon, but one day. I have a few reasons for this. One of them is that I would like to build a bigger motor one day and I'm not sure if I want it to be NA, blown, or turbo. Unless I'm looking at it wrong, building a FI setup that could work with any of these setups is possible whereas a carbed setup would need a different carb for each one and a different manifold for each one. I also want to it be dead reliable and I have had a few issues, nothing much, with the carb. I'm also thinking that the fuel injection would help with some of the heat issues we have here in Florida as far as fuel in the carb getting too hot and boiling.
So my question is, is there a good factory ECM I could use, or would aftermarket be better? I'm not afraid of tuning and I am use to using computers. I dont know much about writing code, but I am willing to learn. All I really need control over is fuel, fuel pump, and spark control would be nice but not sure how to do this with a distributor.

If it matters I'm thinking a victor jr. efi manifold. I dont care about having an IAC either. I kinda like the rougher idle that just setting the throttle blade gives.
