OK, the short of it............. I picked up a 92 1 ton van from a military auction for the TBI motor/tranny/wiring/ harness for a jeep project

The long........ I thought it would have an old ECM (like a 7747) in it with a 4l60 tranny. NOT a 4l80E with a PCM

So with that being said I sold the tranny and am going with a 4l60 but still want to keep the original harness and PCM which come to find out is a remaned 16147060.

My main questions are;

Can I just unpin the tranny stuff from the harness and take it out or will that throw some codes at me? I dont care if I get the codes as long as the PCM dont go into limp mode.

If not can I order a memcal for the PCM with the tranny stuff programed out? If so who can do this or where can I purchase one?

I know Im more than likely not giving enough info but any help getting me started will be appreciated.

Depending on how you read the posts, that PCM was 4L80-E use only.
