Switched from CA to FED prom today

I have converted to manual and didnt really have any problem with the auto prom. The stock ecm is 1228746 with ANTS, which is auto CA emission. I changed it to APTY, which is FED with manual.

The throttle is more responsive, I feel more power, there is no doubt about that. The idle is very slightly higher, 750 vs 650 and that's about it.

I will be switching it back to ANTS to keep it legal, question is can I just pull the prom from manual ecm and replace it with auto? I am not sure how easy the prom is going to come off the socket and if there is any risk of damaging it.
