I have a 92 camaro rs and when i put key in ignition it shows the security light in dash but motor still starts and engine surges and had hard time running. does anyone know why this is happening and or how to fix the problem. thanks

 

either replace the ignition switch that has the two wires feed off it which prob broke or.... bypass the vats. It can be done ny metering your resister in the key then purchasing the resistor that matches and wiring it in where the connection to the ignition switch would be...
