Auto to T5 Manual Transmission

Car: 1987 Silver IROC-Z
Engine: 305 V-8 300HP LT1 Cam
Transmission: T-5 5-speed
Axle/Gears: 3.42
Auto to T5 Manual Transmission
I have a 1987 Z28 that was originally an automatic that I am changing to a T5 manual transmission. Do I need to make any changes to the computer? I know that the automatic had a kick down cable to the automatic, do I need to eliminate that out of the computer?

i did a few t 5 swaps, no changes to the computer were made, the only side effect ive seen is then when pushing the clutch in the engine holds it's RPMs around 2k and gradually drops as you slow down. nothing dangerous, doesn't affect drivability
