New Chip? or not...

I just purchased an 85 Z28 which originally had the TPI 305 in it. The previous owner put a built 89 TPI 350 in the Z28. Bored, mild cam, ignition system, etc, as well as a different rear end. My question is, the car runs great but I think shes running rich. Does the stock PROM suffice or should I look at a replacement concidering the new engine isnt exactly stock.... If I should look at a replacement can someone point me in the right direction...

Re: New Chip? or not...

Ok i Pulled the ECM and found these numbers. The main ECM number is 7-7165 and the code inside of the blue chip is APYU 3516. Previous owner claims that he added a Hypertech chip. Not seeing it, so apparently he was wrong.

You now have 3 post with the same questions? Your car is running rich, have you gotten any codes from the ecm?

Consider buying or building an ALDL cable. Datalog while driving. TunerProRT or winALDL. Free program. Read stickies on datalogging.
