Code 23? Thought I fixed it.
I've always had a code 23, and when I looked it up I found that it was the manifold air temp sensor. Isn't that the sensor right next to the coolant neck?
Anyway I replaced that, and I still have the code. Any help? Did I replace the wrong thing?

Alright After doing a little bit of googeling...I realized I did not replace the MAT sensor.
What is the MAT sensor? Where is it? Is it the air temp sensor in the air cleaner (in my case)? If it is, I have one in there. When I bought it it was called an air charge temperature sensor. It's basically the same thing from what I've seen.

Alright, so if it's the right thing, why am I getting a code?

keep in mind it's been a while since i've been near a TBI motor, but code 23 sets when the engine has been running for at least 5 minutes and for at least 12 seconds after that, it shows -22*F.
it will also set due to the wiring between the ECM and sensor being open(infinite resistance).
also, you did clear the code before installing the new one, correct?

Well I don't have the stock air cleaner set up,I have just an air cleaner. I installed the air charge sensor I was talking about in that.
I removed the ecm fuse for about 20 seconds to clear it. That was a while ago. I installed the sensor a LONG time ago. (months) and I always thought it was that other thing I replaced. I guess not.
